  • Transmitted data quantity
  • Report about successful access

Handling of personal data
Personal information is information that helps a person to be identified, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes name, email address or phone number. But also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites somebody has accessed are among personal data.

Personal data are only collected, used and passed on by the provider if permissible by law or if users consent to the collection of data.

Protection of personal data
We have taken technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. Our security measures are being continuously reviewed and optimised in line with technological developments.

When using a service on our website, your personal data will be transmitted to us. In order for those not to fall into the wrong hands, we encrypt them using the SSL method (Secure Socket Layer). The SSL method is currently the most common and secure data transmission method on the Internet.

How does the SSL method work?
The Secure Socket Layer (SSL) method protects data that a customer sends over the Internet to a company's server. SSL provides triple protection:

  • It ensures that a form is returned only to the server from which it was opened.
  • It checks whether data reach their respective recipient in full and unaltered.

SSL is used every time you see a small (usually green) lock on the bottom left of your browser's status bar.

Handling contact requests
When contacting us via our contact form, user details will be stored for the purpose of processing the request as well as in the event that follow-up questions arise. We will not share these data without your consent.

Handling newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter provided on the website, we will need an email address from you, as well as information allowing us to verify that you are indeed the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data are collected. We use these data exclusively for the transmission of the requested information and do not pass them on to third parties.

You can revoke at any time your consent to storing your data and your email address as well as their use for sending the newsletter.

Reservation service
For the reservation in our restaurant we use the reservation service Localina (www.local.ch) of local.ch AG on our website. When using the reservation service, you use the input fields to send data such as your name, telephone number, e-mail address, the desired number of guests or remarks to local.ch. This data is necessary for the execution of an online reservation and must therefore be stored at local.ch AG.

A disclosure of your data to third parties, except for the restaurants you have selected, is basically excluded according to information provided by local.ch AG and only takes place if there is a legal obligation to disclose or the contractually agreed conditions of use or the contractual claims of local.ch AG to enforce. Further information about the reservation service can be found at http://localina.local.ch/en/home

Booking platforms
If you book via a third-party platform, we receive various personal information from the relevant platform operator (e.g. if you book a room via the external platforms “GlobRes”). This is generally the data listed in this privacy statement. Any requests concerning your booking are also forwarded to us. In particular, we will process the data to enter your booking as required and to provide the booked services. The legal basis for processing the data for this purpose is the performance of a contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 letter b GDPR.

Finally, we may be informed by the platform operators about disputes in connection with a booking. If so, we may also receive data concerning the booking process in some cases, which may include a copy of the booking confirmation to serve as evidence of the booking actually being completed. We process this data to safeguard and enforce our claims. This is the basis for our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR.
